MEET THE COACHES

David Hudson, affectionately known as Coach Dave by his campers, is the personresponsible for each of the great camps organized by Elite Sports.

 

David uses his immense background in basketball as well as his relationships withprofessional athletes to plan and execute the best camps around.

 

David graduated from Rainier Beach High School in Seattle, WA, where he was athree-year letterman and two-year captain. After helping lead his team to thestate tournament all three years and averaging 15 points, 4 assists, and 4rebounds as a senior he took his skills to the University of Washington.

 

 

Washington’s head coach Lorenzo Romar said of David, "He is an outstandingshooter. David Hudson is great with people and is really sharp in terms of his wit.He has a charismatic, charming personality. Away from basketball he can be assuccessful as anyone on our team. He is very talented."

 

When David’s playing career concluded he decided to combine his love forbasketball and his passion for helping the youth and made Elite Sports Camps a reality.

 

 

Coach Jerry Petty grew up in Seattle, Washington playing basketball, football, and baseball. He attended Garfield High School where he led his team to the Washington state 4A boys basketball championship in 1998. Also, in 1998 Coach Jerry won the 4A Most Valuable Player award along with 1st Team All-State Honors. From Coach Jerry’s successes in high school, he was awarded a scholarship to attend North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He played 2 years for NIC winning NWAC All 1st Team honors for two consecutive years, as well as leading his team in scoring, assists, and steals. After attending NIC, Coach Jerry ventured on to the University of Nevada (Reno), where he helped lead the team to the NIT tournament and also won the Defensive Player of the Year Award for the Western Athletic Conference.
